I like the questions at the beginning of the video. We take laughter as a given and do not even give it a second thought. Bringing the scientific internal connections to the surface by your fake versus real laughs demonstration was illustrative and impactful. Realizing the fake laughter is processed by our brain and body differently than real laughter was an eye opener for me. I never gave that much thought. Genuine laughter releasing dopamine and seratonin (sp) ties your thesis that laughter is contagious with the social condition that we as humans experience. Nice tie in. Some questions you may want to consider for further research: do other social species like non-human primates laugh? What about one of our most social of all creatures, the loyal canine – do they laugh or have an equivalent response? Does one need a sense of humor to laugh? What is humor, and does it depend on the circumstance?
